Instructions

  • Prepare the Sub Rolls: Slice the sub rolls or hoagie buns in half lengthwise, leaving one side intact to create a hinge. If desired, lightly toast the rolls in a toaster oven or under the broiler until golden brown.
  • Assemble the Subs: Layer the thinly sliced roast beef and caramelized onions on the bottom half of each sub roll. Add any desired toppings such as sliced cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, or mustard.
  • Close the Subs: Close the subs by folding the top half of each roll over the fillings.
