Ingredients

  • 3 slices of bread white, whole wheat, or your preference
  • 4 slices of cooked turkey breast
  • 4 slices of crispy bacon
  • 2 leaves of lettuce
  • 2 slices of ripe tomato
  • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • Toothpicks for securing the sandwich

Instructions

  • Toast the Bread: Place the slices of bread in a toaster or toaster oven and toast them until golden brown and crisp.
  • Prepare the Ingredients: Cook the bacon until crispy using your preferred method (pan-frying, baking, or microwaving). Wash and dry the lettuce leaves and tomato slices.
  • Assemble the Sandwich: Lay out one slice of toasted bread on a clean work surface. Spread a tablespoon of mayonnaise evenly over one side of the bread slice.
  • Layer the Fillings: Place two slices of turkey breast on top of the mayonnaise. Add two slices of crispy bacon on top of the turkey. Layer one lettuce leaf and one slice of tomato on top of the bacon.
  • Repeat for Second Layer: Take another slice of toasted bread and spread a tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side. Place this slice, mayo-side down, on top of the first layer of fillings.
  • Add Remaining Ingredients: Repeat the layering process with the remaining turkey, bacon, lettuce, and tomato.
  • Top with Final Bread Slice: Spread a tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side of the third slice of toasted bread. Place this slice, mayo-side down, on top of the second layer of fillings to complete the sandwich.
  • Secure with Toothpicks: To help hold the sandwich together, insert toothpicks into each corner of the sandwich and one in the center. This will prevent the layers from shifting when you slice the sandwich.
  • Slice and Serve: Use a sharp knife to cut the Club Sandwich diagonally into quarters. Arrange the quarters on a plate and serve immediately.
